Hi,

I have just installed Geexbox on USB on a windows PC which has internet and local network access. I can download addons ok so internet is working. But I am having a few problems and I would like to get shell access either locally or on a remote session via Putty etc

1) How do I get shell access locally.. none of the Function Buttons work ?
2) I putty in on port 22 from a PC but I get connection refused… any ideas?
3) whenever I change anything at all and reboot the install just forgets all the changes and I have to start again any ideas?
4) finally remote access, from other devices on the network I can load the HTTP web control but I would like to access the whole XBMC desktop not just the media control functions.. I have tried all the Addons available but they either don’t work or don’t give me access to the XBMC native desktop.

Cheers

Rob

inally remote access, from other devices on the network I can load the HTTP web control but I would like to access the whole XBMC desktop not just the media control functions.. I have tried all the Addons available but they either don’t work or don’t give me access to the XBMC native desktop. ?? you want a graphical desktop ? there is only minimal support for xorg. No desktop environment
