Hello folks,

Any chance in hell i can get GeexBox 2.0 to work on my old Digimatrix HTPC (Pentium 4 with SiS 651)? Now when trying to install 2.0 I see the initial start screen (Welcome to GeexBox/Start/../..”autostart i 1 sec”) but after that everything goes black and nothing can be done.

I noted that earlier 1.0 version have Digimatrix support. Digimatrix still works excellent with Ubuntu (11.10) and XBMC is installable, but extremely slow (like several seconds to see the mouse move), so I was hoping GeexBox might cut it for me.

Or as an alternative, is it possible to install GeexBox on Ubuntu?

Sweet,

Loads of thanks for this quick fix, tomlohave! Now GeeXboX installs nicely on Digimatrix. Still got a like half sec lag in interaction though, gotta google around to see if this is fixable.

Thanks for the hint,

To be super clear - this does not mean I should create a /root/advancedsettings.xml kinduv like this:

1
1000

Tried that but geexbox then refused to start.
