I’m running the latest snapshot geexbox-devel-20180107-r3b6708a-i386 with @tomlohave Linux package (post here) on an ASUS X101CH netbook (Intel atom N2600) and I’m noticing that the CPU usage doesn’t go below 50%.

managed to pinpoint the culprit. It’s
    /usr/lib/kodi/kodi.bin --standalone -fs -l var/run/lirc/lircd

Will try to figure out how to take it down.

hum, if you stop it, you have no more kodi 😉

systemctl stop kodi should stop it

@tom Yep, that just killed kodi and restarted :s

Disabled the RSS feed and the other background services (uPnP, Http, …) and the CPU usage dropped to expected levels but if I open the System Information screen (where there are the CPU and RAM utilization bars) the CPU usage goes up to at least 50%

Seems to be either a video driver issue of the Atom N2600 is a total crap.

    hum, it’s a poulsbo card
Maybe it could be better using gbm implementation (no xorg, only kms+drm) but I have no iso to provide right now. (leia branch if you want to test)
