Hi Tom,
I just tried to install the package (downloaded -> opkg install rtl* -> first error: something about that a package “rtl8188eufw.bin” is already installed from another package, after that I modified to opkg install rtl* -force-overwrite which shows “depmod: WARNING: could not open /lib/modules/3.10.38/modules.order: no such file or directory” and “depmod: WARNING: could not open /lib/modules/3.10.38/modules.builtin: no such file or directory”). Do you have any hints on this?

Hi Rudi,
sorry, was a typo. I have a WN725N. Therefore it is a RTL8188EUS. Do you also have support for this chip?

Once again, thanks a lot. I will try and give feedback. The only question left is if it is possible to run xbmc scripts and where to start them… Can you give also with that a hand?
thx

Hi Rudi,
thanks a lot. I have just checked the nightly builds and didn´t find it there. Does this mean that you haven´t uploaded it or did I just look at the wrong place?

Hi,
I thought about xbmc because I already use it and found it customizable because I want to get one gui and not have to deal with different programs/scripts/… (it should also be handled by my girlfriend without any IT knowledge :-))
If there would be a different player I would also try that but I have no clue what to use.
I think the one who asked for tslib was also me but it is not so easy to calibrate the eGalax touchscreen therefore I tried to get different suggestions.
Is it possible to add the needed modules/components/… for communication with the RPi IO pins into the geexbox installation (and hopefully you can give me the correct paths to do this on my own)?
I also tried to create a short (xbmc) script to get familiar with the environment (something like helloworld) but couldnt find a way to run it (for the first step I tried to avoid creating an addon). Do I miss something?tia

BTW, I found no possibility to get evtest on the raspberry… the information is either for geexbox or for the raspberry but I havent found anything which matches both…

Hi Rudi,
I tried your suggestion but first ts_calib.sh told me that several paths where incorrect, after fixing this (ls -l /dev/input/by-id shows event5) ts_calibrate shows that the selected device is not a touchscreen because “must support ABS and KEY event types”. I also tried the other events (event0 to 4) and only event2 shows a different message (“must support ABS_X and ABS_Y events”).
I am bit stuck at the moment… Any further ideas?tia

Hi Tom,
right now I am using confluence but I tried all other skins. The only one which seems to work better is XeeBo but I had hoped that there is someone out there who says something like “… yeah, tried that to, stuck with skin … because….”. Maybe there are other skins available from a source unknown to me…
