    Hi there,

is there already a driver for this WLAN-Stick available? Under http://www.fars-robotics.net/ there is a description and download instruction for a driver which should work but the installation mentions “install -p -m …” which gives me “sh install: no such file or directory”. How can I get this working?

There seems to be three revisions of this adapter. So I cannot tell. We have support for the RTL8188CUS, which appears to be used in revision 2 of the WN723N. But I tested it here only with EdiMax EW-7811UN devices.

    Hi Rudi,

sorry, was a typo. I have a WN725N. Therefore it is a RTL8188EUS. Do you also have support for this chip?

    Hi Tom,

I just tried to install the package (downloaded -> opkg install rtl* -> first error: something about that a package “rtl8188eufw.bin” is already installed from another package, after that I modified to opkg install rtl* -force-overwrite which shows “depmod: WARNING: could not open /lib/modules/3.10.38/modules.order: no such file or directory” and “depmod: WARNING: could not open /lib/modules/3.10.38/modules.builtin: no such file or directory”). Do you have any hints on this?

“rtl8188eufw.bin” is most likely already part of the global linux firmware package. The depmod warnings can be ignored. So I’d say the new driver is installed on your system. If it works is another question…
