got one problem on EPIA M10000 board – after booting too high brightness on display, hardly see the menu. Just white screen with light gray letters on it. It is strange, because while booting the brightness is ok (on the penguin screen). What can I do with it?
chipset via for video card ?
I’m getting the exact same problem with my EPIA SP13000 motherboard (using on board Via internal Graphics only )
Loads fine, menu works, but everything except text is white. reminds me of opengl2 problems with XBMC when running that on the same motherboard (seeing that it does not have opengl2 support).
do you have logs from Xorg ?
No. I’ve just been trying to run it from liveCD version.
“The EPIA M-Series’ VIA Apollo CLE266 chipset features an embedded MPEG-2 .”
“Integrated VIA UniChrome™ AGP graphics with MPEG-2 decoding acceleration”
here’s the spec:
Can you update you openchrome driver ?
switch to vt2 (CTRL +ALT+F2)
password : root
then execute :
opkg install http://download.openbricks.org/r14170/xf86-video-openchrome_0.2.905-1_i686.opk
maybe you need to force install …
systemctl restart xorg.service
systemctl restart xbmc.service
that worked like a charm.. only thing now i guess the motherboard is way to old.
the Gui is running at about 0.1 fps =).
After installing GeexBox 3.0 on similar machine, Igel 3/4 3210 CE thin client, I got video working but it is also <1 FPS 🙁
I checked Xorg logs and openchrome driver is loaded.
Under System info, Video information says:
GPU: Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 0x300)
Screen resolution: 1280×1024 (0.35 fps)
OpenGL vendor: vmware inc
OpenGL version: 2.1 Mesa 8.0.3
CPU is at 100%
Memory is 31% user (system has 256MB or memory)
you need an intel or ati or nvidia video card
