I’m having trouble with the youtube add-on. No matter what I’m searching, it always returns nothing. I receive a notification in the upper left corner of my screen saying ” No Result”.
When I try to watch a trailer, it doesn’t work either. Does anybody else experience this problem?

    UPDATE….

The problem is the YouTube add-on doesn’t return any results no matter what you searching for; when you try to “explore YouTube” nothing shows up and finally, when you are browsing into your library and you want to see a movie trailer, it cannot open the stream and return a script error.

    I made some test …
    Cubox-I 4pro
I was using the following image: geexbox-devel-20150528-r06f4b2a
First, I reset all the settings in the YouTube add-on -> same problem again
Then, I have downloaded and flashed the latest build : geexbox-devel-20150606-rd305e37 -> same problem again
I verified the Internet connection -> from my NEXUS 5 I have been able to access my Cubox-I by FTP,SSH and web add-on CHORUS
I installed the add-on PUSHBULLET on my Cubox-I then, from my nexus 5 and my computer I have pushed a Youtube link to my Cubox-I -> SURPRISE ! I have been able to open the link and watch the video without any issue.

Let me know if any other informations is required

From what I gathered the version 4.1.10 of the addon supplied by the official XBMC 13.x repository is no longer working due to an API change. It is suggested to replace it by a version 5.x.x, which can be installed from the Bromix repository *.zip file.

Edit: I’ve added the bromix repo to geexbox. So in a few days there will be a version that has it enabled by default.

Is it possible that the youtube dowload addon is not compatible with the youtube addon from Bromix. I cannot find the download option in any menu while the playback

Hmm, seems to be the latest version. So no idea why it doesn’t work.
