At the weekend I installed version 3.0 on my Cubox and things seem a little slow(but I am comparing it to my Dual Core ATOM system).

So, what can I expect from the Cubox? It could not manage to play any HD content without jerking(I will post frame rates later forgot to get them). Is the Cubox currently expected to be able to play HD content. SD content seemed to play fine.

Are you playing 1080p media? I found that the 1080p media is choppy on cubox, but the 720p media plays very smooth. I have no problems streaming movies from Amazon Prime.

I get the same issues as ‘cuboxmat’. I installed GeexBox on my Cubox (via Cubox-installer) one week ago. Are there any additional codecs (non-free for example?) or drivers that needs to be included/installed that is not included during the default install?

    no, nothing to add

but you can test a devel version of cubox with cec support , that can decode blue ray, etc …
