I have a CuBox i4Pro, a Harmony programmable remote, and a SiliconDust Homerun Tuner with a cable card. I can get live TV on my laptop with the Silicon Dust app for Windows. Now I want to get rid of my DVR ($16/mo) and use the CuBox with an external HD to capture the tuner signal and record all my TV programs that I watch. Can GeeXboX do this? Can I use my Harmony remote to control the CuBox? Does the GeeXboX software have access to a channel schedule for selecting future recordings?

    I try to reply you.

Yes, Geexbox can capture the tuner signal and record all TV programs. You need just to check if a firmware for your driver exists for linux and derivates… You can’t use windows drivers.
Yes, Geexbox/tvheadend can schedule recordings based on EPG grabbed in internet.
Yes, Geexox can generally use remotes for receive command. You need to check if this is true also for your own remote. If you are luck you can also found a table already done for mapping keys of your remote to XBMC commands. Otherwise you can configure it by hand. If you also use a CEC compatible TV you can also use same remote for TV and Cubox. I have a Samsung Smart TV and it works fine.

Let me know if I replied to all your questions.

My Silicon Dust Homerun tuner is connected to my Ethernet network, as is the CuBox. As far as I can tell, the Silicon Dust tuner sends the video signals over the the Ethernet using the DNLA protocol. Is the GeexboX able to interface with the Silicon Dust tuner using the DNLA protocol? Does GeeXboX need another driver for the DNLA protocol? That protocol also allows the HTPC to tell the tuner what channel to send to the HTPC software.
