    Hi guys,

Any idea why does my utilite clock resets to 1970 anytime there is a power shortage?

Doesn’t it have a battery-backed clock, or is it just a misconfiguration in my side?

Im running the latest geexbox snapshot, and I saw that there was a discussion on this matter in the past which seems to me as resolved.

    Will appreciate any help.. Thanks,
    Koby

This is bizarre! It looks like the driver for the EM3027 RTC chip used in the Utilite has the same bug as the one for PCF8523 in the Cubox-i. Please try this kernel. Note that the problem will “heal” itself on February 1. So in order to test you need to set the date to something in January. You might also need to run hwclock -w manually after the new zImage was loaded for the first time.

It appears that the problem was not what I expected in the first place. So forget about the kernel I suggested in the previous post. However, I think we found the real issue. It should be fixed in the next build…
