Support for DVBlast & vtuner

Hello,
First of all Tom, thank you for this fantastic peace of art for my home entertainment system !!!

Would like to test this two opensource options on geexbox 3.1

http://code.google.com/p/vtuner/ = Virtual DVB tuner over tcp/ip

http://www.videolan.org/projects/dvblast.html = Mpeg-2 TS Streaming
Any chance to add this to the opkg list ?

Another minor question, there is a way of manual update from version 3.0 to 3.1
without loose the user data and personal configuration (remote config, net config, movie db, etc) ?
Really tired of manual update all my configs over ftp on each upgrade.
