    Just installed geexbox 3.1

Normally when I use xbmc (v12) there is an option under settings->system->power saving to turn the screen off when idle for a certain amount of time. Under geexbox I don’t see this option. Was this option removed for geexbox or xbmc v13? If so where can I set up some power saving options? I noticed that the screen dims after a few mins, can I control that as well?

    thanks,
    Max

Even if the options arent supported through XBMC there should be some way to control this through editing config files, let me know if that is an option as well

Not specifically. XBMC will show the option only if it detects that the X server supports DPMS. Thus, on platforms that don’t use X (RPi, CubieBoard, Utilite, Cubox-i), this option will never show up. On platforms that do (CuBox, PandaBoard), the X server might not have this capability implemented. I have not checked the details, but if you boot up with logging enabled there should be some DPMS – related entries in xbmc.log.

I noticed that the screen dims after a few mins, can I control that as well?
