Well…GeexBox seems to run well, as a live CD, but I can’t figure out how to get to the boot options, or a command prompt. The menu says to press “tab”, to add boot options, but nothing happens, when I press “tab”. I would like to install to a HDD.

Please help, my system won’t boot from a USB stick, and I need my DVD player, to play movies!

    usb keyboard ?
If it’s the case, can you access bios settings?
    If not , try a ps2 keyboard

Nope. I’m using a ps/2 keyboard. When you are at the boot screen, is there any other way to get to a command prompt, or boot options????

OK…this is what I’ve managed to figure out: Pressing the arrow key stops the countdown. if you press , after stopping the countdown, you get a prompt, with what I assume are boot options. Looks like this:

    > /vmlinus initrd=/initrd emergency

I tried placing “install” or “option=install”, after “emergency, but neither of those worked…

Hello, you can use versio 2.0.1 (http://download.geexbox.org/releases/2.0.1/). There is boot option OK.

If you want to install it, try a devel iso : you’ve got the choice in boot menu ( see here http://download.openbricks.org/ )
    or this one http://download.geexbox.org/releases/2.0.1/
