I’ve been running GeeXboX on a Cubox-i4 and absolutely love it.

Recently, I started using the XBMC Add-on called VideoExtras.

For it to work correctly, I have to manually change the advancedsettings.xml file in my userdata folder.

All of the rest of the computers in my network are Macs, and I can ftp into my GeeXboX, but the root folder appears empty (and I can see invisible files on other drives).

If I use the File Manager from within XBMC, I can move the xml file to an external drive, where I can copy and edit it, but I can’t use File Manager to move it back to the original location (File Manager appears to have read-only permissions).

I’m sure that I’m missing something obvious. Could someone help me?

On ftp soft at root use “/.xbmc” (with the dot) to view hidden folder where /userdata and advanced settings.xml are stored.
After that you can download/edit/upload your settings file.

    Hope it helps.-
