latest build doesn’t boot on cubox-i4Pro

Hi!

I’ve installed GeexBox on SD-card using this manual http://www.solid-run.com/wiki/index.php?title=Flash_an_image#OS_X, but when I plug card in nothing happens.
I’ve tried this two builds:
http://download.geexbox.org/snapshots/geexbox-xbmc-armada5xx-cubox/20140801/binaries.cubox/geexbox-devel-20140802-r89f1665.cubox.img.xz
http://download.geexbox.org/snapshots/geexbox-xbmc-armada5xx-cubox/20140730/binaries.cubox/geexbox-devel-20140731-r2cc50e4.cubox.img.xz

Any ideas?

The images you mention are for CuBox “classic”, not for CuBox-i. No wonder that they won’t work on an i4pro. For CuBox-i download stuff from here http://download.geexbox.org/snapshots/geexbox-xbmc-imx6-cuboxi/

Thanke you! You are right! SolidRun should update their wiki…

is there a way to update to the latest build without flashing the sd-card

Geexbox uses the opkg package manager. So it is possible, but I’m not so much a fan of it. Somemtimes there are changes that do not work out right by just updating. Tom can probably tell more when he is back from vacation…

Well you can update using opkg package manager when it’s a “small” package or update, sometimes overwritting existing files from another package.
There is a script floating on cuboxi’s forum to upgrade easily geexbox using opkg (devel version). But I didn’t get the time to package it.
