    Hi there,

    I’m trying to install GB on a vmware machine but can’t install it on hard drive, it told me can’t open framebuffer, file not found ?

    Hi again,

    The edit function didn’t work for me so sorry for double posts.

    I Tried with VirtualBox and it works.

    not tested on vmware, we use (at least me) virtualbox.

    Copy in the same folder files from the following rar:

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/56565783/geexbox.rar

    and the geexbox-3.0-i386.iso downloaded here, and use your vmware machine !!!

    Now I understood your question, and you are right.

    I send you the use of  live CD with those files, but when you try to install onto Hard Disk there’s no peripherial available.

    However I can say that I received the message

    “can’t open framebuffer, file not found”

    also performing an installation on a real PC, but in that case the installation was successful ( A peripherial is available in that case ).

    Replace the SCSI default disk with an IDE disk, it works …

    Thanks for the answer but with virtualbox it worked perfectly, hope this tip will help vmw fanboys
