    Hi,

    Two things:

    1. In the latest image uEnv.txt says “bpp=16″ instead of being changed to bpp=32. From an earlier thread, bpp=32 produces much better picture output. This was tested on i2Ultra because i do not have cubox-i1.

    2. Rudi -> I compiled the latest kernel (10th September) and it the RGB16-235 colour range appeared correctly on my older TV. Using imx_v7_cbi_hb_defconfig with all the modules did not work, but your .config did work.

    Thanks for your great work.

The configurations used by the upcoming build can be found here.

We are not using ‘imx_v7_cbi_hb_defconfig’ at all. Instead we have our own base configuration named ‘linux.conf’. This gets copied over to ‘.config’ and edited automatically by the unpack script to reflect the openbricks global configuration found in ‘config/defconfigs/.conf’. IOW: We select / de-select kernel features depending on what it written in another config file. After that ‘make oldconfig’ is run to clean it up and adapt to kernel version changes. So ‘linux.conf’ is not necessarily identical to the .config that is really used to build the kernel.
