[ solved ] Hulu Plugin??

I am new to geexbox and I want to watch Hulu on it. I am running it on a eee pc of a usb stick. Got the wireless working yesterday, and I am working to get the sound thru HDMI ( no luck on that one yet). Is there a way to watch Hulu on this thing. Thank you.

I might need to start a new thread for the sound. I did follow one of your older threads and played with all those settings. I will play with it some more. If I can’t get it to work I’ll start a thread in the PC section. One question that I have is; Are XBMC addons compatible with GeexBox??. Thanks…

Well… I installed Hulu using XBMC directions and I get a script error. So it is possible that it is not compatible with GeexBox. I was really looking forward to watching my Hulu on GeexBox.

Sorry it took so long. When I try to copy the file to another USB stick in the /mnt directory i get a Read Only Filesystem error. How do I get the file out of the machine?

i assume you use a devel iso, if so, recent commits break python.

You can acces your geexbox ‘s pc by ftp /or with telnet.

It is still not working.m Well, it only partially works. If I try to use Hulu Plus and try to log in it gives a script error. If I do not use Hulu Plus and just try to view a video it gives an http Error 400 Bad Request and it only plays the starting commercial and then it quits and returns to the list of videos. It is definitely an improvement. On another note, YouTube works now. It was not working before, but now I can search and play videos. woohooo… Just to let you know I tried to install othen distros but the video quality suffers. The frame rate is really horrible with other distros. Geexbox is the only one that has the right video drivers for this EEE Box from Asus, which uses an nvidia card. Good job and keep up the good work.

Last time I tried to copy the log files to a USB stick I was gettinng a read only filesystem error. I am running Geexbox from a usb stick. Can I just pull them out of there if I plug the stick into another computer?

use persistent
then do :
cp /root/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log /.root

You can access xbmc.log in your os (located at the root of your usb stick)

Ok… here is the log file. One other thing that I tried to do is play and m4v file thru my samba server. That did not work… I’ll send you another log fime for that one
