When can we expect a new GeeXboX snapshot.
As the latest snapshots are quite old and not working properly.

The automated snapshots will be back soon. Meanwhile, for x86 you can use this
http://download.geexbox.org/releases/extra/i386/latest-iso-devel.iso
which is updated from time to time by tomlohave and should match the state of the latest development tree.

did you use persistent ? (see documentation section)
for the sound issue can you post the result of :

use persistent to test (else changes are not saved)

edit /etc/audio
and change SOUNDCARD_MODE=”analog” by SOUNDCARD_MODE=”hdmi”

how to use persistent?
I am using W7 on one PC and Geexbox on my HTPC.
BTW remote is not working also.
I am using Asus EB1501 (Atom N330, Nvidia ION)

see documentation (windows or linux) http://www.geexbox.org/documentation/create-or-modify-a-persistent-file

for your remote, create new post with results of dmesg, xor0.log and xbmc.log

where to find casper-rw on the usb-stick?

I found on i-net an casper-rw (512mb) file, copied this onto the USB-stick.
Modified audio from Analog => hdmi

=> sound works!!
