FTP Client

Hello,
in cubox-i there is the possibility to use a FTP client? I would to backup some datas now in my cubox into a cloud FTP drive.

I have not tried but you should be able to use the ftp client commands built in to Busybox

ftpget
ftpget [OPTIONS] HOST LOCAL_FILE REMOTE_FILE

Retrieve a remote file via FTP

Options:

-c,-continue Continue previous transfer
-v,-verbose Verbose
-u,-username Username
-p,-password Password
-P,-port Port number
ftpput
ftpput [OPTIONS] HOST REMOTE_FILE LOCAL_FILE

Store a local file on a remote machine via FTP

Options:

-v,-verbose Verbose
-u,-username Username
-p,-password Password
-P,-port Port number

FTP is not enabled in our busybox config. But we heave curl, which should be able to up- and download from ftp sites.

The upcomming november snapshots will have the mentioned ftp applets enabled in busybox. Note that this is a *BIG* update (40+ packages). There are newer kernels for pretty much all platforms. For CuBox-i this means 3.14.54 with support for the newer Hummingboards, better support for PICe WiFi cards, GLES 3.0 (Vivante v5), systemd 227. Also we switch from mysql 5.1 to mariadb 5.5. Some other packages will get re-installed to clean up a version numbering issue we had in the past. This will ensure that they get properly reported as upgradable when changed in the future.
