    anyone having issues with the Sept 09 image from the geexbox latest binaries? I installed, restored my xbmc backup and I’m seeing some screen tearing which is then followed by xbmc crashing to a black screen or the screen that just says geexbox login. Posting this over on the solid-run forums, as well

    I’m not aware of such a problem. What happens if you don’t restore the backup or leave out advancedsettings.xml?

    Good tip. I removed advancedsettings.xml and it seems OK so far. I guess legacy settings causing the problem?

    Strangely enough, there is a whole bunch of things in my advancedsettings.xml that I have no recollection of putting in there. Such as and so on….would this have crept into my older install overtime through doing opgk updates?

    When advancedsettings.xml and guisettings.xml do not exist, Geexbox will copy default versions which – at least for CuBox-i – should contain the entries you mention.
