    Hi there,
    To make a difference in the names of a few Airplay devices I would like to change the Airplay device name.
    Found ‘./shairport -a ‘My Shairport Name” on http://www.vervelendemensen.nl/2014/12/airplay-on-hummingboard/?lang=de
    doesn’t work on Geexbox ‘devel-20140824-r21bf57b’. How can I manage this?

    Change the value of “Device name” in “System/Settings/services. Per default this is set to “XBMC”, which means that the hostname is used. However, settings it to anything other than “XBMC” should cause this name to be used instead.

    Alternatively you can change the hostname of your system via /etc/hosts.

    But be aware that both methods not only change the airplay name but some other service names as well (generic XBMC/Kodi behaviour, not specific to Geexbox).
