    Hello,
    I have 2 cubox (i 4×4 and original one).

    The original has an hard external disk mounted and shared corretcly with no user/password.
    In the 4×4 I would mount automatically a path in this hard disk so, I installed automount_smb in 4×4 and configured /usr/network file as:
    STATIC_SMB="guest<%><@>192.168.1.201<&>OPENBRICKS<#>root/media/SAMSUNG"
    this is mounted on /mnt/shares/OPENBRICKS/root/media/SAMSUNG

    It is possible to mount this drive under /media/SAMSUNG and not on /mnt/shares/OPENBRICKS/root/media/SAMSUNG ?

    I see what you want ?

    I see two ways to do this :
    1) create a symlink in /media with name SAMSUNG pointing to /mnt/shares/OPENBRICKS/root/media/SAMSUNG
    ln -s /mnt/shares/OPENBRICKS/root/media/SAMSUNG /media/SAMSUNG
    2) modify the script mounting network share : it should be /usr/bin/automount_smb file
    it befins with

    MOUNT_POINT=/mnt/shares
    clean_up () {
      echo "Trap : exiting ..."
      while read i ; do
      a=echo $i | grep "/mnt/shares/"| cut -d" " -f2
      if [ -n "$a" ] ; then
        echo " Found $a , trying to umount ..."
        if umount $a ; then
          echo "Success"

    just modify “MOUNT_POINT” and “a”

    I did a sym link. Just modified mount script replaceing ro with rw in order to make hard disk writable.

    Thanks Tom.
