• Toolchain
  • Checksum support for external files, after files are downloaded they should be evaluated. Should check file size and MD5 fingerprint.

• System
  • Squashfs
  • Load drivers modules using PCI (mostly done) and USB maps ID
  • Use vo=vesa:nodga as a fallback for all non vesa compliant video cards
  • save settings (HDD\USB\... version) & reset (to default) settings option. I mean play position after off & other settings

• Drivers
  • support for wireless cards through NDISwrapper
  • support for 16-bit PCMCIA cards (wifi + ethernet)
  • support for RT2xxx driver instead of the RT2400/RT2500/RT2570 ones.

• I18n
  • support online switch of subtitle character set by reloading the subtitle files with the new character set.

• Automatic playing
  • Support automatic playing of removable harddisks (USB keys).
  • Choose best media if multiple cdroms/removable disks are in system when booting. The order should be the media we booted from (whether it cdrom / removable disk), then cdroms, and only then removable disks.

• Generator
  • According to user Language selection try to select most appropriate character set by default.
  • Allow user to select more than one subtitle character set, and to set default one. depends on the ability to switch subtitle character sets.
  • Show character sets name representation also. (Western, Central European, Hebrew, etc)
  • Allow user to disable ACPI by passing acpi=off in isolinux.cfg
  • Add a "Choose file" button for adding files to the ISO (movies ...)
  • Same for DVB transponder file or channels config file.
  • In Network menu Add other file-system CharSet for FTP/SAMBA (koi8 not correct display filenames in Windows OS!)

• Installator
  • support for formating multiple partitions and multiple disks at installation (EXT / FAT only)
  • If cfdisk reports "Bad partition table", ask user whether he wants to reset (clear) the partition. This will allow to install on some USB keys with broken partition tables.

• DVB
  • support for multiple DVB cards
  • live recording of MPEG2-TS DVB streams
  • Bigger number of Transponders lists to scan (Availble out of the box)

• Recorder
  • mount this place R/W when recording and remount RO when done

• Web Interface
  • add a remote management web interface with support for CGI and that can interacts with MPlayer.

• Miscellaneous
  • cdrecord to burn files on disc
  • vobcopy to backup DVD.

• MPlayer
  • Support for AAC files
  • support for MMS streams
  • Options for display OSD, Time-date, PowerOff Timer, Tag's & other informations!
