MCE remote Enter/OK now works. Back button and fast forward do not. Neither do the coloured shortcut buttons for video, music and pictures. These all work in 2.0 .

    can you test this :
    switch to vt2
    systemctl stop eventlircd.service
    evtest /dev/input/event3
    — push buttons —

    and post the results

    thanks

    Testing … (interrupt to exit)

But pressing any buttons, working or non-working doesn’t cause anything to be printed to the telnet console…

test this, if it was working before without eventlircd :
    edit /lib/udev/rules.d/98-eventlircd.rules
and comment these lines by inserting a # before each line
    #ENV{ID_VENDOR_ID}==”1241″, ENV{ID_MODEL_ID}==”e000″, \
    # ENV{eventlircd_enable}=”true”, \
    # ENV{eventlircd_evmap}=”03_$env{ID_VENDOR_ID}_$env{ID_MODEL_ID}.evmap”
    reboot & test

I tried editing 98-eventlircd.rules as described, but I’m still not getting any responses on evtest. Actually once it hits the “Testing … (interrupt to exit)” the arrow keys will navigate the cursor, pause deletes, and enter enters a new line. My particular remote is being recognized as follows:

    Input driver version is 1.0.1
Input device ID: bus 0x3 vendor 0x45e product 0x9d version 0x111
Input device name: “Microsft Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop® 2.10”

it’s the wrong device here. you capture event from your keyboard
Send me the file result.txt located in /root (result of command line) :
    cat /proc/bus/input/devices >> /root/result.txt
    lsusb >> /root/result.txt
    dmesg >> /root/result.txt

    Thanks

Just to let you know that three days ago, I tried Geexbox “geexbox-devel-20111220-r13637-i386” and it works like a charm (even if I have search during 48 hours how to suscribe to the forum to let you know!!!)

Hardware : giada slim n10 (Ion 330) with picture connected on hdmi and analog sound (not tried vga & hdmi output for the sound)
    http://www.ht-center.fr/2010/02/test-de-lordinateur-giada-slim-n10-atom-ion/

I tried Geexbox 2.0 which gave me only a black screen when this one works great (including mkv@h264@hidef)
The NFS integrated client works perfectly while it was crashing on the last openelec releases

    Thank you for the work

I just sent the result.txt file via gmail. Looking at the file I see what you mean that I ran the test on the wrong input.

Reboot and shutdown from xbmc gui are not working for me in latest devel versions; just drops to console.
