hello, is lcdproc or any other linux lcd display module drivers/daemons integrated in geexbox? i have been unable to find any documentation and am wondering how to get displays to work on geexbox. i saw a video on youtube where someone managed to do this but don’t know how it was done. i would like to do this because i would like to use geexbox in a car pc and i am not a fan of touchscreens in cars as they are a distraction. i would like to use physical buttons instead where i can operate it by feel. just music playback (simplicity here!) with the look/feel like a real car stereo but where i can customize the functionality of the deck to my liking (like the amount of preamp outputs for example). i would like to design my own open-source headunit/carputer because i HATE THE WAY MOST NEW CAR STEREOS LOOK!!

    thanks.

we’ve got a package called lcd4linux, don’t know if it’s that you want. and it need to be a little refresh before building it.

It sure looks like what I need, as I have heard of it. Thanks. One question though: what did you mean by it needing a refresh? Does it need to be recompiled or is it a package I install via opkg package manager?

I’m also interested to use XBMC without the main screen turned on. Is there any lcd driver included in geeXboX 3?

    Thanks,
