Firstly, that was really cool!

Secondly: Quick question, why do you have your Wii setup for Japanese language? You're Taiwanese, right?

Chinese, in mainland, actually 8)

WII language can't be changed. There are no Chinese WII yet, we mostly use smuggled Jap or US version.

I'm using NTSC(Jap) WII via composite (single Yellow cable) and i get output using both TV and TV capture card on PC.

So you can try the composite (i think it comes with all retail wii?).

Or you can try wii-linux PoC 0.4 using RGB first, c if there is video.

Then maybe we'll be able to figure out the problem.

That's really nice Farter !

I have never took the time to hack my Wii but you just gave me the first reason to do it !
If you make the wiimote work on it, I'll not be able to resist :D

BTW :You are already famous on French hack WII dedicated forums!

I cant get this to boot via HBC :( I tried with composite and rgb cables.
My WII is a PAL version running the latest firmware from nintendo.

EDIT:
I was watching the youtube movie...
I dont see the loading screen, just a bunch of code running like in a terminal

Awesome!

Will my Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000 USB keyboard work? Sadly, it's the only USB keyboard I have, and it has some wireless dongle for it to work.

WAIT, will my ATI Remote Wonder work? Its supposed to work with the normal GeeXbox.

I'm on an NTSC Wii, and when I try this, using RGB cables, I get no output. Just a blank screen like oncemore.

The loading screen shows, goes through, just ALMOST finishes and then just shows a blank screen. Not sure why. Tried both with and without USB devices plugged in.

The GC-Linux wii-proof of concept has no problems outputting video...though it stops loading at "freeing unused kernel memory"

Hello!! I'm sorry but my english isn't good, but i'll try to explain you what is happening.

I have a PAL wii (spanish) and after the loading image, i only get a black screen. In this screen i can write all i want, but if i press an arrow key, then appear 3 strange characters in the screen.

I tried to run it with the composite cable. With 50 Hz i can't see the loading image, but i see a lot of words like the twilight hack.
In 60 Hz i can see the loading image, but after that, i can't see anything (black screen).

Also, i tried it with the components cable at 480p, but the result is like the 60 Hz.

I extracted the .rar in the root of my sd card (128Mb). What i'm doing wrong??????????

Big thanks for the great works! I'm a chinese too and can't get this app work either. In my case it's a Jap ver Wii with a RGB cable. It turns out to be a blak screen where I can still type words with my keyboard and reset the console with Ctrl+Alt+Del. BTW, I don't get the part of "Debug". Would you pls explain it more clearly.
