First of all I apologize for my bad bad english.
Right now I’m translating from Italian with Google Traslator.

I could not be recognized by the GeeXboX v2.0.1 none of my wireless cards:

    – TP-Link TN-WL7200ND [Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2870/RT3070 Wireless Adapter]

    – Sitecom Europe BV WL-349v3 Wireless Micro Adapter 150N X1 [Realtek RTL8192SU].

Both work well under Linux, both are recognized by lsusb to GeeXboX but not by iwconfig, and the configuration file \ etc \ networks has already been set.

I want to print to file but dmesg does not know the procedure.

GeeXboX v2.0.1 has been uploaded on 2Gb usb pen drive using UNetbootin from Linux, and casper-rw file has a size of 1100 Mb.

    Working Ethernet connection.

GeeXboX is in its original state, the only changes are:

    – Changed file network;
    – Loaded with opkg
    Extra-firmwares-nonfree_2.0-1_i686
    extra-fonts-nonfree_2.0-1_i686
    timezone-data_2011l-1_i686

    – Addition of add-ons and unofficial repositories.

I read the other posts here on the particular forum of problems on the wireless but I have helped solve my problem.

I love GeeXboX since version 1.2.4, and I would keep it forever.

I hope that I helped to solve this problem as soon as possible.

    Thanks

    Hi man,

    I have same problem too…

I bought 2 USB dongle, first one the ebay cheapest, second one the officially supported König Electronic WLAN USB DONGLE 150 MBPS (CMP-WNUSB22) (http://www.solid-run.com/mw/index.php/Accessories#WiFi_USB_Dongles).

Both are same wifi processor: Realtek RTL8192SU  and neither function. :-(

I asked to thomlohave which model works with Geexbox, answare is ‘D-Link tipically works’. I’m waiting a pack from united states containinig a D-Link micro usb… but I suppose it have same wifi processor: Realtek RTL8192SU.

When it will arrive , I update you…

    Stay tuned.
