w_scan doesn’t find my card. It says “main:3073 FATAL ***no usable dvb-t card found***.
Do i have to install these V4L-DVB-Device-Drivers? Or do i have to stop any vdr service? (nothing pvr is enabled in the frontend)
    thanks for help.
edit: I use now “geexbox-devel-20120212-r13951-x86_64.iso” version

    stop vdr: systemctl stop vdr.service
    do your scan
    copy the result to /etc/vdr/channels.conf
    restart vdr.service : systemctl start vdr.service

    #2952

tested it, but get the same error. i think device driver is included in kernel?! or what could be the mistake.
thank you for your quick answer. Sorry for my bad english…

    #2954

lsusb detect it as “Afatech Technologies, AF 9015 DVB-T USB 2.0 Stick”
dmesg | grep Afatech then shows “found in cold state, will try to find a firmwar”
so I searched for firmware “http://www.otit.fi/~crope/v4l-dvb/af9015/af9015_firmware_cutter/firmware_files/4.95.0/dvb-usb-af9015.fw” and copied it to /lib/firmware
is it the wrong way i do?

yes , but copy it to /firmware
use persistent to keep your changes across reboot
if it doesn’t work post the result of command line dmesg

    #2956

with “dvb-usb-af9015.fw” in /firmware it still doesn’t run. I have persistent working (sometimes it boots and shows only black screen; after reboot it works). Can you explain me how to save the command line dmesg result, that i can access it from the usb-stick. or is there a better or easier way? thank you for your patience (I didn’t do much with linux, before)

execute this in a virtual terminal

    systemd-journalctl -a > /.root/result.txt

you should have a file called result.txt at the root of your usb stick

after a few reboots, it suddenly works. Thank you for your Help. I will further test it.
At all a very great work, geexbox is great.

    No problem ;)
Need time to package your firmware, quite busy with the problem of shutdown/reboot now ….

    #2963

there is another bug. After 10-15 reboots I get the error “ext2_lookup:deleted inode referenced 12″. Maybe damaged datasystem? But I think it happens at other live usb-sticks also. Maybe my usb-stick is the cause. I will test geexbox the next days installed on a hdd with dvb-s cards skystar 2 pci and twinhan pci.
