    Hello,

    I need some help to configure GeexBox to use a static IP address on my Wandboard Quad.

    I tried editing this file:
    nano /etc/network
    # Static IP address (“” for DHCP) in CIDR format (e.g. “192.168.1.1/24″)
    ADDRESS=”192.168.0.101”

    # Network gateway (e.g. “192.168.1.254”)
    GATEWAY=”192.168.0.1″

    But the subnet mask defaults to: 0.0.0.0, according to ifconfig.
    So, I also tried adding a subnet mask setting also, but I don’t know the correct syntax. I tried NETMASK=”255.255.255.0″ and SUBNET=”255.255.255.0″, but I still get the default, which does not work.

    Can someone please tell me the correct way to do this?

    Thanks, Clay

    I C1lay,
    sorry for the late reply, but it seems your post was considered as spam …

    # Static IP address (“” for DHCP) in CIDR format (e.g. “192.168.1.1/24″)

    you forget the “/24” at the end, corresponding to subnet 255.255.255.0

    Cheers !
